Management Safety Policy Statement:
Management of Harpoleconstruction Inc. is committed to providing a safe and healthful workplace for all the employees and others that may work, visit, or enter the facilities, or work sites and to the protection of the environment. Harpole Construction Inc. recognizes that the success of the Safety, Health, and Environmental Programs are contingent and dependent upon support from all. From the top levels of management, to the involvement of all employees of the Company, protecting the environment and working safely is of the utmost concern to us.
 
Authority & Accountability:
Management of  Harpole Construction Inc. accepts the responsibility for providing resource and guidance for the development and implementation of the Safety, Health and Environmental Programs. The Company Foreman is responsible for all and will be held accountable for overall implementation of the working plans. Each Foreman has the authority to delegate any or all portions of the plans to subordinates, but will be held responsible for the performance of the plans. They will also have the authority to approve or carry out diciplinary actions against those that violate policies, procedures, or rules.
 
Employee Commitment & Responsibilities:
Harpole Construction Inc. recognizes that the success of any company-wide endeavor is largely dependent upon the involvement of the entire workforce. Management aggressively solicits the assistance and commitment of all employees to the implementation of the Safety, Health & Environmental Programs. All employees are required to abide by, operate within, and adhere to, Harpole Construction's Safety, Health & Environment Programs.
 
Contractor & Subcontractor Responsibilities:
Employers of outside contractors that provide or perform services for Harpole Construction Inc. shall be responsible for ensuring all their employees and services provided by their employees, are performed and delivered consistently with our commitment to the Safety, Health & Protection of the Environment. Contractors must meet all Safety & Health regulatory issues. Our Safety & Health Manual will be made available for review to all contractors. Contractors are fully responsible for providing their employees with all necessary protective, safety, and environmental equipment that they may be warranted or required to fulfill any assigned duties or tasks. Contractors must also ensure that contract employees are familiar with the proper use of the equipment.
 
Disciplinary Policy:
Harpole Construction Inc. has developed a disciplinary policy, up to and including termination, that applies to programs and policies of the Company. These policies and programs shall be tools to ensure enforcement of the rules and procedures for a safe and healthful worksite and protection of the environment. Diciplinary actions, except termination, solicit a commitment and a voluntary plan of positive improvement for the person being counseled. These policies apply equally to all employees of the Company.
 
Safety Coordinator Responsibilities:
Harpole Construction Inc. has a full time Safety Coordinator who establishes and coordinates our safety program and activities in all operations. The Safety Coordinator inspects work sites and all operations on a regular basis to remove potential hazards and monitors work practices, investigates all incidents and injuries and reports to managment as well as our safety committee to determine cause and corrective actions to be taken. Harpole Construction Inc. has established a Safety Committee who meets periodically to go over any incidents, self inspections, weekly safety meetings and training. The Safety Coordinator also performs pre-employment and random drug and alcohol testing. All tests are sent to Pipeline Testing Consortium Inc. PTC maintains our records and monitors our Drug & Alcohol Abuse Prevention Programs.
